Creating External Links from TSV

Hi all,

I´m looking forward to a possibility to create external links by information form tsv document.

The tsv document has two columns: one with the object identifier and one with one or more hyperlinks for the object identifier in the same row. Now I want that on import/synchronizing the tsv information to the DOORS module each hyperlink will be created or updated as external link identified by the object identifier.

Does anybody has an idea or any experiences to handle this?

The task seems pretty straight forward. Parsing the tsv, creating external links ... What bothers me a bit is the "updating/synchronizing" part of your post. If an external link changes, then you will have problems to find that link in DOORS unless you have the old target of the link OR you have exactly one link per object.

If you do not have either, you cannot find a changed link in DOORS and need to decide what will happen, when you have an external link on your object that is not referenced in the Excel file. It could be a link that is in the file but changed, or it could be a link someone has drawn by hand. Deleting will therefore only work if you have no other external links in the module.
